“ The two times we ate there, the food, and service was excellent. We had dim sum with side order dishes. When we were there the restaurant was clean including the restroom We will be returning for their delicious foods ”
“ Great addition to the Richmond! Glad to see more dim sum restaurants opening up in the area. I enjoyed a nice meal with my son this morning. It wasn't crowded past 11am but quickly filled up towards the lunch hour. We ordered sea bass pumpkin dumplings, shrimp dumplings, purple yam buns, Portuguese egg tarts, shrimp rice crepes and sui mai. Good quality as most seafood restaurants. Some of the dessert items came out by cart while the cooked/steamed items were brought out on trays. Service was friendly and attentive. The place was clean. While the decor is simple, the high ceilings make the place more spacious feeling. Large and small tables available for all party sizes. Not feeling crowded or cramped inside. Lots of elderly Chinese patrons, so this place is definitely legit! Restrooms were clean as well. Reasonably priced. Parking can be tough but since we went early, I was able to find a space around the block in the residential side street. Would return again with more people and try other dim sum items. ”
“ The food was great, it tasted like real Chinese food, not Americanized lol #iykyk We went on a weekday, so there were only 2 other tables, but I have seen them full on weekends - both dim sum brunch & dinner time. They have lots of tables and bright lights. We think the price is slightly higher overall. ”
“ Street parking only. Casual place, service was okay. Went here around 11 which was great because it got so busy so fast. It was a pretty decent size place. The food was pretty good. We got a whole bunch of things, they served 2-4 pieces. It was all pretty good. I got the XO noodles which were delicious. ”
“ We made dinner reservations for 10 at 5:00 pm when they open for dinner for our family get-together. We have heard dim sum is pretty good at Taste of Fusion so decided to give it a try for dinner. Family member had a fresh caught fish that we brought in for them to cook. They made two fish dishes from the fish and we ordered 7 more dishes for the 10 of us. Place was empty for a Friday evening. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere; bright, clean and roomy. The waiter was stand-offish in the beginning, but became very friendly by the end of the evening. Although I'm giving them 4 stars, the dishes were on the smaller portion size, so that makes it more expensive for the amount of food we received. So in reality, we had 9 orders for 10 people. The dishes we ordered were all very tasty and good, the two fish dishes were cooked differently and good, although they charged a lot more to cook ($40) than our regular go to Chinese establishment where we usually take our fresh caught fish. We might give Taste of Fusion another try? We ended the meal with complimentary dessert of red bean tapioca (forgot to take pic) and mini almond cookie. ”
“ Large Chinese restaurant in the Outer Richmond, with solid food - great for banquets! Came for dinner on a Monday and it was pretty empty, but they are also new. We had a large table and ordered quite a few dishes, which were each pretty good. Steamed Surf Clams 5/5 - my fav dish here, the clams were very tender and flavorful with a good amount of noodles and garlic Roast pork 3/5 - on the lean side, could've been fattier so it could be more tender and juicy Egg tofu with Mushroom and Pea sprout 4/5 - so good, mushrooms were super juicy and I loved the tofu. typically pea sprout is always good, but some pieces were old since it's not in season Baked Cod 4/5 - super tender and flavorful and juicy, looks weird but it's good! Will come back to try the dim sum! Service was good as well ”
“ Kind, attentive and patient waiters. Decent place for banquet meals! I will be back to try their dim sum. Baked black cod fillet - 4/5, super tender! Looked like a cha siu haha. A good option for fish. Peking style spareribs - 5/5, meaty spare ribs with a sticky sweet and salty sauce. Probably my favorite dish here. Roast pork - 3.5/5, very lean meat with a crunchy skin. Tasty when paired with sauce and sugar given on the side. The pork could have been a bit fattier as it was quite tough to eat. Mustard greens - 4/5, always good. Surf clams - 4/5, a decent amount of surf clams on top of a bunch of vermicelli. Not sure if they give the same amount of clams as elsewhere, but it suffices. Delicious when eaten with garlic, sauce and noodles. House special hk fried noodles - 3.5/5, fried noodles with bok choy, squid, shrimp, scallops, and either fish or chicken. The taste seemed to be a bit lacking compared to other places. Tofu with black mushroom and pea sprouts - 4/5, the mushrooms are soft and soaked with gravy-- yum! Tofu is good as well, but the pea sprouts were a bit rough and old. ”
“ Date: Monday, September 16th, 2024 Party of: 2 Meal: Lunch Takeaway How Ordered: Phone Call Tine Ordered: around 2:15pm Picked Up: about 15 mins later *Boiled Beef Tripe ($13.99) *Beef Chow Fun ($19.99) The hubby was out running errands. For lunch I wanted dim sum. There's a go to place we order delivery from that has very fair pricing. (Meaning cheap.) They however, do not have ngau paak jip / tripe which is one of my favs. Since the hubs was in the area, he suggested I call Taste of Fusion to see if they have it. He wanted me to call to ask instead of him going in since I speak some canto and he speaks none. Found out they have the boiled version, so I ordered it. Felt weird to just order a single dim sum dish for pickup, so I added on a gon chow ngau ho / dry fry beef chow fun. Both dishes were pricey, but a pretty big portion. I enjoyed them both. A nice addition to the standard yum cha fare we got from the other spot. After trying these two dishes, I may come back to try more dim sum. REVIEW #3563 ”
“ An affordable and delicious spot! Had our double date here today. Their shrimp, beef, churng fun was really fresh and good. Nice Cantonese speaking people. Bae's favorite food was the Portuguese egg tart. They had a lot of unisex bathroom stalls, so definitely well kept. Hope to come back here again soon. ”
